Tracy Carlstrom

Counseling Intern

Tracy maintains a Bachelor of Science in Nursing while completing her Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Concordia University Irvine with the Townsend Institute. Her heart beats tenderness and God’s grace for women in the hard places and/or when things just do not fit.

As a mom of 5, I learned to sit in the tension of uncertainties when my daughter suffered a traumatic brain injury (TBI). She is mercifully alive. And - our “normal” was replaced with adventure and bravery of outside-the-box perspectives. As a pastor’s wife, I know the pain in church life and have leaned hard against God’s heart to trust His mending. My own imperfect living causes me to rely even more on His kindness. Nursing taught me that there is often a secret story behind the story. As the oldest of 5 girls, I knew dark secrets. I also watched others carry theirs to live out great heartache. ~ Our stories may be different. Yet, your uncertainty, wanting to erase the unerasable, covering fear, striving hard with roadblocks, and painful life transitions are familiar terrains. Therefore, my heart longs to foster a safe space where you can feel free to authentically be who you are and find healing. You are a treasure.
